Psychological Interventions in Pain Medicine

The goal of the course will be to utilize our specialists to present topics that focus on chronic disease management, population health issues, and social determinants of health. This will be accomplished by case based presentations that will highlight updates in work ups, guideline based therapies, and new treatment recommendations. We will also include speakers that provide guidance on effective teaching strategies in an outpatient setting given the increased number of learners rotating through outpatient clinics. 

1. Identify psychosocial risk factors associated with chronification of pain
2. Delineate the components of interdisciplinary pain care
3. Articulate the role of psychological interventions in pain management
