 The Hematology and Oncology: Hereditary Cancer Program Journal Club engages learners in rigorous examination of the field's literature/research, assessing competence by review of the primary literature, evaluation of the data, organization and delivery for presentation, and communication skills. 

1. Competence is assessed by review of the primary literature, evaluation of the data, organization and delivery for presentation and communication skills.
2. Demonstrate how cultural & linguistic bias manifests in oncology and genetics healthcare.
3. Examine new literature related to advancements in scientific content in terms of how to apply the recent findings to current genetic counseling practice.
4. Defend the importance of cancer genetics in all aspects of medical care.
5. Evaluate relevant clinical cases as examples of how advancements in science influence decisions and practices in daily clinical genetic counseling sessions.
