In this multi-disciplinary series, learners will gain the skills to critically review and evaluate pre-operative approaches, echocardiography, heart catheterization, new data, literature, and incorporating best practices, as well as analyze selected cases using department quality indicators. Infectious Diseases: Case Conference series engages learners in clinical case discussions, emphasizing medical literature and best practices. Through an active learning  approach students bring forth interesting teaching cases for analysis inclusive of evidence-based information, critical in making a clinical diagnosis and choosing the optimal approach to diagnostic testing and treatment. 

Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine: Transesophageal Echocardiography Case Conference in this multidisciplinary series will review intraoperative cases with Anesthesiologists, Cardiologists, Intensivists, and Surgeons.  Each TEE exam is also discussed for quality improvement purposes so that improvements, changes, and/or additions to future intraoperative exams are made.
